Parliament Pulls A Solid
In the shortest presidency I can remember, Ukraine's Parliament handed hard-liner Viktor Yanukovych a no-confidence vote when presented with the government earlier today. In Response, Opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko called down his protests around government buildings. Solid move by the Ukrainian Parliament, proving that even in former Soviet republics, democracy can be counted on.
Looks like they will have another vote on December 19 to settle this once and for all.
Maybe we can send Katherine Harris into Kiev to make sure all the votes get counted this time.
